After struggling for years to prioritize my health and wellness, I decided to make a change. At the time, I was overweight and could not run a mile. What started as a gentle walk each day turned into jogging and then running. Within a year, I ran my first full marathon. Soon after, I got my personal training certification from NASM, one of the leading health and wellness organizations.
I know what it is like to not feel "athletic," but I believe being "fit" or "healthy" is what you make it. I believe we can all achieve anything we set our minds to!
I started Bod Squad Health to create a place where everyone felt welcome. Through my own health journey, I sometimes felt fitness programs were not inclusive. I also recognized that community was often lacking, and it was one of the few things that would keep me motivated.
I want everyone at Bod Squad Health to always feel they belong and inclusivity matters...no matter where you are starting from and no matter what your goals are. Community is central to everything we do, whether it is through our online community (The Squad) or in-person through our community events. You will always have a team to support you!
